Senior groups list meeting schedules

The Town of Ulster Senior Club will meet Thursday, April 26, at the Town of Ulster Senior Center, 1 Town Hall Drive.

The club will have its annual covered dish luncheon at 12:30 p.m. The meeting will start as close to 1 p.m. as possible. Everyone is asked to bring either a main dish, a salad or dessert to share.

The guest speaker will be Cynthia Wadnola. She will talk about ways club members may help in the local Support Our Troops Project. The club will also be firming its plans for its 50th anniversar­y celebratio­n.

The group’s meetings are a time for friendship, socializat­ion and the sharing of ideas. New members are always welcome.

After the meetings, those who wish may stay to play bingo.

PORT EWEN, N.Y. » The Town of Esopus Seniors will meet on Monday, May 7, at noon at the Esopus Town Hall, 284 Broadway.

There will be a guest speaker from the Veterans Administra­tion who will talk about its programs to help senior veterans.

The group will be taking paid sign-ups for the trip on July 11 to the High Point Banquet and Event Center. The cost is $55 for members, $65 for non-members. ROSENDALE, N.Y. » The Town of Rosendale Seniors will have an executive board meeting on Wednesday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m. at the Recreation Center on Route 32.

The business meeting will follow at 1 p.m.

Reservatio­ns are being taken for the May 17, trip to Hunterdon Hills Playhouse in New Jersey for dinner and the show “Steel Magnolias.” The cost is $66 per person.

Reservatio­ns are also being taken for the July 17 to Log Cabin in Holyoke, Mass., for the Lobster Fest. The menu will consists of chicken, ribs and lobster. The show is a tribute to Elvis, Rod Stewart and Buddy Holly. The cost is $62 per person.

In addition, there will be a trip to New Orleans from Aug. 25 to Sept. 2. The cost is $829 per person, double occupancy.

New members are always welcome. Non-members are always invited to meeting and on trips.

KINGSTON, N.Y. » The Hudson Valley Senior Residence Board of Volunteers will meet Thursday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m. at the residence at 80 Washington Ave.

The board will be reviewing the April activities the board provided for the residents and planning the

May activities.

On May 7, the board will hold a bake sale in the front foyer for the residents to purchase small items such as cookies, mini cakes, etc. The bake goods will be homemade by board members.

Sunday Bingo at the residence

will continue,so volunteers are needed to sign up to assist with this activity. The knitting and crocheting group will gather the first Tuesday of each month.

Twenty Week Club tickets have been distribute­d to members to sell, so you may bring any tickets you have sold to the April meeting. The first drawing will be the week of July 22.
