The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• Drugs: Dylan J. Bailey, 25, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 8:45 p.m. Saturday on Lindsley Avenue on misdemeanor charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic instrument. He was also charged with possession of marijuana, a violation. Bailey was released with tickets to appear in Kingston City Court.
• DWI: Alice L. Shultis, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 3:29 a.m. Sunday on Clinton Avenue on misdemeanor charges of aggravated drunken driving and drunken driving. She was also charged with the infractions of failure to stop at a stop sign and driving with an obstructed view. Shultis was released with tickets to appear in Kingston City Court.
Lloyd
• Drugs: Edward A. Romero, 47, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1 p.m. Saturday on state Route 299 on a misdemeanor charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance. He was released with a ticket to appear in Lloyd Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Tara A. Crowder, 40, of 100th Way N St., Petersburgh, Fla. was arrested Saturday on charges of drunken driving, a misdemeanor, and driving with an open container, an infraction. Saugerties police said Crowder was arrested on Kings Highway in the hamlet of Mount Marion, near Tissal Road. During an interview, officers saw open alcoholic beverage containers in the vehicle, police said. Police said Crowder admitted to drinking alcohol before driving. She was released with tickets to appear in Saugerties Town Court.
• Disorderly conduct:
Eric A. Mazariego, 23, of 17 Russell St., Saugerties, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. Thursday on a charge of disorderly conduct, a violation. Saugerties police said Mazariego was arrested after officers saw him screaming obscenities as he was walking down Partition Street, causing a disturbance. When officers tried to calm him and get his information, Mazariego became argumentative and refused to comply with an officer’s request to calm down and stop screaming, police said. Police said Mazariego was intoxicated and continued to scream obscenities. He was released with a ticket to appear in Saugerties Village Court.
• Stolen property: Rita C. White, 23, of Saugerties, was arrested Saturday on a felony charge of possession of stolen property. Saugerties police said White was arrested following an investigation into a burglary from a residence on Washington Avenue in the village, where jewelry had been taken. During the investigation, some of the stolen jewelry turned up at two local jewelry stores, police said. Police said detectives were able to determine White had the jewelry and sold it. White was arraigned in Saugerties Village Court and sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $500 bail. Investigation into the burglary is ongoing and additional charges are pending, police said Sunday.
