‘Theater of the absurd’
Dear Editor: Amazing that the media and Trump opponents fantasize about a collusion about the Trump campaign and Russia.
Prior to the Robert Mueller investigation, President Obama’s director of the CIA, John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Director Andrew McCabe all testified before Congress there was no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
Unbelievably, the Mueller investigation was initiated.
The subsequent Mueller indictments had nothing to do with the campaign. Temporary Campaign Manager Paul Manafort was indicted for prior alleged financial indiscretions.
What if Mueller investigated Clinton Campaign Manager John Podesta who has investments and contacts with Russians. Did he cross his t’s and dot his i’s?
The indictment of Gen. Michael Flynn emanates from his assignments, following the election, of contacting Russian United Nations representatives and persuading them not to condemn Israel until a Trump representative could be present. To save his son, Flynn admitted to lying about the affair, although others in the room say that he did not lie. Some FBI agents who interviewed Flynn reported back that he didn’t lie.
There is a straight scenario of the Clinton campaign financing an anti-Trump dossier compiled through the input of Russian intelligence. There is your collusion. Where is the investigation?
Objective historians will label the Mueller investigation “the theater of the absurd.”
