Alexander W. Catona, 27, of Kingston
Alexander W. Catona, 27, of Kingston, died Thursday, May 3, 2018, at his home.
Born in Albany, he was a son of Mircea Catona of Kingston and Lynn Bennett and her husband, James “Benny” Bennett, of Ruby. Alex was a graduate of Kingston High School, Class of 2010. He inspired many of his classmates to become medical professionals. Alex was a very giving, good-hearted person who brought joy to people with his smile. He touched many hearts and had a great sense of humor. He was a good listener who loved holidays, history and boating. He took taekwondo lessons and volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House.
In addition to his parents, Alex is survived by a brother, Christian Catona and his wife Cammy of California; a sister, Julie Catona of Wellington, Fla.; and one nephew, Tyler Catona of California.
Alex will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Carole Hamm officiating.
Interment will follow in Wiltwyck Cemetery.
