Used book sale at Kingston Library on May 19
WHAT: Book sale WHEN: May 19 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
WHERE: Basement of Kingston Library, 55 Franklin St., Kingston
DETAILS: The Friends of the Kingston Library will have their Spring Used Book Sale. The cost is $1 for hardbacks, audio books, CDs and DVDs, or two for $3. Paperbacks, LPs and audiocassettes are 50 cents each. Children’s items, including videos, are 25 cents each. VHS tapes and magazines are 10 cents each. The sale raises funds to support library programs.

Program offers instruction on health, wellness apps
WHAT: Program on health and wellness apps WHEN: May 10 at 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: East Fishkill Community Library, 348 Route 376, Hopewell Junction
DETAILS: The library will present a free program on health and wellness apps taught by reference librarian Kaity Hsiu. The class will help participants become familiar with apps focusing on their health, fitness and wellness. They will include tracking health and fitness, tracking food and recipes, guided fitness and training, finding health, wellness and training information, and responding to emergencies. Those attending should bring their mobile devices to work along. The class will be conducted using IPhone/IPad as an example. Experience downloading apps is required. The class is limited to 12 participants, and registration is suggested.
