Helen A. Mattison, 73, a longtime resident of Rhinebeck, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.

Born on Dec. 11, 1944, in Manhattan, N.Y.; she was the daughter of the late James and Miriam (Cummings) Donohue. Helen married Scurry L. Mattison on July 25, 1970, in Rhinebeck and he predecease­d her on Aug. 18, 2011.

For many years, Helen worked in housekeepi­ng at Devereux in Red Hook.

Helen was a member of Third Evangelica­l Lutheran Church in Rhinebeck and also a member of Hudson Valley Raceway.

She is survived by her daughter and son-inlaw; Laurie and Aaron Kelsey of Red Hook, N.Y.; her granddaugh­ter, Kaylee Marie Kelsey of Red Hook, N.Y.; her sisterin-law, Linda Mattison of Red Hook, N.Y.; along with extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she was predecease­d by a son, Frederick L. Mattison; and two sisters, Rosemary Andrew, and Madeline Weed.

The family would like to extend their deep appreciati­on to the staff at both Hudson Valley Hospice and Northern Dutchess Paramedics for the care and never ending support.

Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes, 91 E. Market St., Rhinebeck on Thursday, May 10, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 11, 2018, at Third Evangelica­l Lutheran Church, Livingston St., Rhinebeck, N.Y. Burial will be at Rhinebeck Cemetery, Rhinebeck.
