Helen Sullivan, 98, of Highland
Helen Sullivan, 98, of Merlot Drive and a longtime former resident of Esopus Drive in Saugerties, died Monday, May 21, 2018, surrounded by her family at her residence. Born May 5, 1920, in Flushing, Queens, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Romilda DelliBovi Imperato. Helen was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary of the Snow Roman Catholic Church in Saugerties, where she was an active member of the Rosary Society and a charter member of the Women’s Club of Saugerties.
Survivors include her husband, Major Joseph M. Sullivan, USAF (ret); a son, Joseph M. Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Marilyn of Wappingers Falls; and three grandchildren, Julie Christine (Patrick) Caruana, Erin (Cody) VanCise, and Kelly Sullivan. A sister, Lucille Doyle of Delmar, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Anna Hannofee, Phyllis Conway, and Cecelia Rinaldi; and brothers, Joseph, Victor, and Edward Imparato.
Her Funeral Procession will form 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the SeamonWilsey Funeral Home, Inc., corner of John and Lafayette Sts. Thence to St. Mary of the Snow Roman Catholic Church where at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Friends will be received Wednesday 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Saugerties.
