Esopus
• Drugs: Rhett Adams, 30, of Esopus, was arrested by members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team Thursday and was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies. Adams’ arrest followed an investigation by the into heroin sales Esopus, Ulster County sheriff’s deputies said. Adams was ordered held without bail at Ulster County Jail pending a court appearance.
Catskill
• Obstructing: Christine M. Baptiste, 29, of Hudson, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 9:24 p.m. Thursday and was charged with criminal mischief, a felony, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, and endangering the welfare of a child, all misdemeanors, and with trespass and disorderly conduct, both violations, police said. Baptiste was held pending a court appearance. Further details were unavailable.
Lloyd
• DWI: Emily J. Casey, 40, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland on state Route 299 at 3:34 p.m. Thursday and was charged with driving while intoxicated (previous conviction in 10 years), and aggravated driving while intoxicated, both felonies. Further information was unavailable.
• DWI: Jeremy K. Pemberton, 28, of Newburgh, was arrested about 2:16 a.m. Friday on U.S. Route 44-state Route 55 and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, according to state police at Highland. He was released with a court appearance ticket.
Red Hook
• DWI: Andres N. Mejia, 21, of Middle Village, was arrested by Red Hook Police Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on Blithewood Avenue in Red Hook and was charged with two counts of drunken driving, both misdemeanors, and was issued several traffic infractions following a two-car accident.
Town of Rochester
• Drugs: Shelby Harris, 20, of Rochester, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies on May 12 and was charged with three counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, following an investigation by the Ulster Regional Narcotics Team into heroin dealing in Rochester, deputies said. Harris was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail pending an appearance in Ulster County Court.
• DWI: Michael D. Weipert, 64, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 7:20 p.m. Thursday on U.S. Route 209 and was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Weipert was also ticketed for a seat belt violation. He was issued a court appearance ticket.
