Mary D. Boyle, 82, of Kingston

KINGSTON » Mary D. Boyle, 82, of Highland Avenue, Kingston, died Saturday, May 26, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Feb. 22, 1936, in Kingston; she is the daughter of the late Joseph and Lucy (Lay) Disch.

A graduate of Kingston High School and SUNY Plattsburgh, Mary worked for many years as a school nurse teacher in the Kingston City School district, primarily at Robert Graves Elementary in Port Ewen. A member of the Ulster County Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Mrs. Boyle also was a lector and Eucharistic Minister at her parish of St. Peter’s in Kingston, and attended the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.

Surviving is her husband of 59 years, John “Jack” Boyle, Sr.; five children: Mary Haas and her husband Nicholas of Malone, John Boyle, Jr., and his wife Shirley of Saugerties, Patricia Jacob and her husband Jerome of Kingston, Joseph

G. Boyle and his wife Kimberly of Kingston, Barbara Micheletti and her husband Christopher of Mamaroneck; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Jr., Michael and Rachel Haas, Keri Lee and Dr. John F. Boyle, III, and his wife Danielle, Kevin Jacob, Ryan, Daniel and Jack Boyle, Chase, Andrew and Matthew Micheletti. Three great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Anthony and Megan, also survive.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Cheryl Colbert, Dr. Cutugno, Dr. Khera, Dr. Torres, and their staffs. Also an acknowledgment of thanks to Hospice of Ulster County, especially

Kailtlyn, Lisa, Toni and Elaine, and the Highland Avenue neighbors for their support.

Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc., 27 Smith Avenue, Kingston, www. jvleahyfh.com. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. The funeral procession will form at the funeral home Friday 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. St. Peter’s Church. Burial St. Peter’s Cemetery.
