Sharon L. Davis, 62, of Accord

ACCORD » Sharon L. Davis, 62, of Accord, N.Y., died Friday, May 25, 2018, at HealthAlliance Hospital in Kingston, N.Y.

Sharon was born to Dale and Ruth Kuhns on March 4, 1956, in West Hurley, N.Y., and was the second oldest of four children. Raised in Lake Katrine, Sharon was a lifelong member of Grace Community Evangelical Free Church. It was there she grew up with, and married her longtime sweetheart Wesley Davis in 1976. Wesley and Sharon have two children, Jeromy, 41, and Christine, 37.

Sharon graduated from Kingston High School, then trained in classical piano at Hartt College of Music at the University of Hartford. She went on to use that passion and talent to teach piano privately, and had over 20 students at Abrams Music. She was also the music director at Grace Church for many years. Sharon discovered her love for guiding young children, and returned to school at the

College of New Rochelle, where she became Montessori trained in Early Childhood Education. Sharon spent several years teaching in Montessori schools, and was an integral part of the Ulster County Head Start program.

Surviving in addition to her father of Kissimmee, Fla., are her husband, Wesley Davis; her son, Jeromy Davis of Kingston; her daughter, Christine Smith of Kerhonkson; two sisters, Judy Kuhns and Sandy Kuhns both of Kissimmee, Fla.; her brother, Robert Kuhns of Ellenville; her grandchildren, Randall and Joshua Davis, Katelyn Smith, Jesse

Davis, Emma Davis, Natalie Smith, and Sebastian Davis; and nieces and nephews, Marilyn Kuhns, Adam, Erich and Jessica Perry, and Brianna and Nick De Primo.

The funereal service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Community Church, Lake Katrine. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge. There will be no calling hours at Lasher Funeral Home, Inc., 100 Tinker St. Woodstock.
