The following items are based on informatio­n provided by officials in law enforcemen­t and the criminal justice system.

Cairo

· Identity theft: A 17-yearold South Cairo male was arrested by state police at Catskill at police barracks and charged with the felony of identity theft to obtain goods and the misdemeano­rs of petit larceny and unlawful possession of personal identifica­tion. He was released with an appearance ticket for Cairo Town Court.

· Weapon: Martin T. Miller, 25, of Athens, was arrested by state police at Catskill at state police barracks and charged with the misdemeano­rs of menacing with a weapon, criminal mischief (damaging property) and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use. Miller was released with appearance tickets for Cairo Town Court.

Esopus

· DWI/Drugs: Zachary T. Boland, 25, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at 2 a.m. Wednesday on U.S. Route 9W and charged with misdemeano­rs possession of a controlled substance, driving with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving, the violation of possession of marijuana, and with the infraction of moving from lane unsafely. Boland was released with appearance tickets for Esopus Town Court.

· Grand larceny/drugs: Rebecca L. Sutfin, 34, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:23 p.m. Tuesday at 3650 U.S. Route 9W and charged with the felony of grand larceny of property valued at more than $1,000, the misdemeano­rs of falsifying business records and possession of a controlled substance (four counts), and the violation of controlled substance in a non-original container (four counts). Sutfin was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.

Shawangunk

· Grand larceny/sale of firearm: Amber M. Drake, 29, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday at 12 Bridge St. and charged with the felonies of grand larceny of a firearm (rifle or shotgun) and criminal sale of a firearm to an unauthoriz­ed person, and with the misdemeano­rs of criminal possession of weapons/ firearms and petit larceny. Drake was released with appearance tickets for Shawangunk Town Court.

Wawarsing

· Possession of dangerous contraband in prison: Justin Guzman, 28, of the Bronx, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday at the Ulster Correction­al Facility, 750 Berme Road, and charged with the felony of possession of dangerous contraband in prison. Guzman’s status was unavailabl­e.
