HURLEY » Luciano Pagano, 86, of Hook Street, Hurley, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

Born Jan. 7, 1932 in Castiglion­e, Sicily, Italy the son of the late Antonino and Maria Catena (Frisina) Pagano.

Mr. Pagano served in the military in Italy and then moved to Australia where he lived for ten years and traveled throughout Europe. He moved back to Italy where he met his wife Angelina Savoca and married on July 30, 1964. After getting married, they moved to New York. He was employed by Laborers Union Local 17 from 1968 until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and gardening but mostly spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Angelina Savoca Pagano; his children, Antonino “Nino” Pagano and his wife Sheri, Mariella Pagano-LoBianco and her husband Joseph, Carmelo Pagano and his wife Nicole; grandchild­ren, Milena, DiMara, and Antonio Pagano, Anthony, Alexandria, Alanna, and Aidan LoBianco, Madison and Olivia Lucianna Pagano (Luch). Many nieces and nephews in both Kingston and Sicily also survive.

His brother, Orazio Pagano; sisters, Tina Pagano and Carmelina Pagano; his brothers-in-law, Joseph Savoca, Frank DeCicco; and sisterin-law, Arlena Savoca, all died previously.

The family would like to thank the Hurley Rescue Squad, Dr.’s DeLeo and Cutugno and the staff of Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Entrusted to the care of the Keyser Funeral and Cremation Service, 326 Albany Avenue Kingston, N.Y., where friends and family may visit on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s Church. Burial in Hurley Cemetery.
