Catskill
• Drugs, DWAI-drugs: Nicole M. Rusk, 38, of East Jewett, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 9:40 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on state Route 23 and was charged with possession of a narcotic drug, a felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance and driving while impaired by drugs, both misdemeanors. She was ordered held pending a court appearance.
Greenport
• DWI: Lyle G. Hughes, 28, of Hudson, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 1:18 a.m. Saturday following at traffic stop on U.S. Route 9 and was charged with drunken driving, a felony; and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, a misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket for Greenport Town Court.
Hunter
• DWI: Stephen S. Lamb, 41, of Hunter, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 1:13 a.m. Saturday following at traffic stop on state Route 23A and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. He was issued an appearance ticket for Hunter Town Court.
Lloyd
• DWAI-drugs: Amanda J. Shafer, 32, of Wallkill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:24 a.m. Friday following a traffic stop on 354 Vineyard Ave. and was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, a felony. She was issued an appearance ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Olive
• DWI: James A. Lawson, 58, of Woodstock, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 9:31 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on state Route 28 and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent. He was issued an appearance ticket for Olive Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Mindy M. Hopkins, 25, of Vernon, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 10:35 p.m. Friday following a traffic stop on state Route 32A and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood alcohol level exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. She was issued an appearance ticket for Saugerties Town Court.
• Menacing, reckless endangerment, obstructing governmental
administration: Ebony McQueen, 21, of 3127 U.S. Route 9, Apt. 4, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police Saturday and was charged with menacing, reckless endangerment and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors. Authorities said McQueen was arrested after police received a call about a woman at the Wenton Motel wielding a brick and threatening to hit people with it. Police said she tried to hit one tenant and struck several doors in the motel complex with the brick. She was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail pending a court appearance.
Wawarsing
• Prison contraband: Muhammad Green, 46, of Napanoch, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 11:39 a.m. Friday and was charged with felony possession of dangerous prison contraband. He was held pending further proceedings. Further information was unavailable.
