Ralph J. Williams, 85, of Saugerties, N.Y., entered into rest on Sunday, June 10, 2018, at Westcheste­r Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y.

Ralph was born Jan. 22, 1933, in Kingston, N.Y., to Ralph G. and Caroline (Albright ) Williams. He graduated from Kingston High School and later served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On April 18, 1959, he married the love of his life, Roseann Stolpinski, and settled in Saugerties, where they shared 59 years together.

Ralph was employed as a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal service for 36 years before his retirement. Afterward, he spent time as a delivery driver for a local florist and auto parts store. In his spare time, he enjoyed building bird houses and “puttering” in the cellar. He enjoyed spending time with his family and close circle of friends, with whom he shared many good times.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Teri Hall and her husband, Dan Hall, of Pine Plains, N.Y.; his son, Michael Williams of Charlotte, N.C.; his grandson, Ryan Hall of Stanfordvi­lle, N.Y., and his granddaugh­ter, Taylor Hall, and her boyfriend, Dan Smith, of Ancram, N.Y.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Carolyn Enright and Shirley Hooker, along with many extended family members.

Ralph was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and friend to all who knew him.

A funeral procession will form at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 15, 2018, at Buono Funeral Service Inc., Main Street Chapel, Saugerties, N.Y., and then proceed to St. Mary of the Snow Church, where at 11 a.m., a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment with full military honors will follow immediatel­y in St. Mary of the Snow Cemetery, Barclay Heights. Friends may call Friday morning from 9 until 10:30 a.m. at Buono Funeral Service Inc.
