Josephine “Josie” McIsaac, 82, formerly of Garfield Road died Friday, June 15, 2018, at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeeps­ie.

She was born Nov. 1, 1935 in New York City; daughter of the late William and Josephine Fiducia Gorman. An area resident since 1960, Josie had formerly worked at Rotron in Woodstock, and had been an Ulster County Home Health Aid. She was an active member of the St. Francis de Sales Parish, having served as Eucharist Minister, and as member of the Sodality of Our Lady of LaSalette. She was a valued member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 950 of Phoenicia, and the Shandaken Senior Citizens. Josie enjoyed travel, as well as crocheting, cooking and baking. Her Irish Soda Bread and potato salad were legendary!

She was predecease­d by her husband “Big John” in 1992.

Surviving are cousins, nieces, and nephews including Patricia Ryder of Chichester.

Her funeral procession will form on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home, thence to the St. Francis de Sales Church where at 10 a.m. a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial in the St. Francis de Sales Rt. 28 Allaben.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the E. B. Gormley Funeral Home 87 Main St. Phoenicia.
