Cairo

• Drugs: Ronny W. Taylor, 38, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie on Mountain Avenue at 12:08 a.m. Wednesday and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), a felony, operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs, a misdemeano­r, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Taylor was held pending arraignmen­t.

Gardiner

• DWI: Richard P. Licastri, 64, of Fishkill, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 44-state Route 55 and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d (first offense) and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeano­rs. He was issued a court appearance ticket.

Lloyd

• Drugs: Issiah Q. Brace, 22, Of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Highland at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeano­r. Brace was issued an appearance ticket for Lloyd Town Court.

• DWI: Matthew J. Pugnali, 21, of Pleasant Valley, was arrested by state police at Highland at 11:34 p.m. Tuesday on Route 44-55 and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d (first offense) and driving with a bloodalcoh­ol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeano­rs. Pugnali was issued an appearance ticket for Lloyd Town Court.

Red Hook

• DWI: Arlen W. Austin, 36 of Providence, R.I., was arrested by Red Hook police at 9:40 p.m. Friday on County Route 78 and was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicate­d, as well as two other counts of drunken driving, all misdemeano­rs. Police said Austin, following a traffic stop, was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.20 percent, more than twice the legal limit. He was released with tickets to appear in town court at a later date.

Town of Rochester

• DWI: Trevor N. Wedemeyer, 47, of Accord, was arrested by state police at Wawarsing at 9:27 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Route 209 and was charged with driving while intoxicate­d (first offense) and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding 0.08 percent (first offense), both misdemeano­rs, and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Wedemeyer was issued an appearance ticket for Rochester Town Court.
