Area business people ‘On the Move’
Anthony Fiducia, of Saugerties, N.Y., has joined PIA Management Services Inc., of Glenmont as a member information specialist. Previously a newspaper reporter, he is a graduate of SUNY Cortland, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in professional writing.
PIA Management Services Inc. is the umbrella corporation that manages Professional Insurance Agents, a partnership of five state trade associations representing independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout their respective states.
••• Craig A. Miller has been promoted to the rank of deputy sheriff sergeant in the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
A native of Ulster County, he graduated from Rondout Valley High School in 2001, SUNY Ulster in 2004 and Basic Police Academy in 2005. He joined the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office in 2005 as a deputy sheriff. In 2009, he joined the Ulster County Emergency Response Team and, in 2013, was promoted to detective. Miller is on the Ulster County Emergency Response Team as an assistant team commander, is a firearms instructor and an instructor at the Ulster County Training Group Academy. He has received awards for honorable service.
••• Alex Morphet, of Hyde Park, has been hired as an Infinex financial adviser at Rhinebeck Asset Management, a division of Rhinebeck Bank.
He most recently worked at Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and has 17 years of experience in financial services.
Morphet will serve customers of the Hyde Park, Arlington and Mid-Hudson branch locations of Rhinebeck Bank.
He currently holds his Series 6, 7 and 63 Registrations, New York State Life, Accident and Health License, and is certified with the New York State Partnership for Long Term Care.
••• Carol Simpson, of New City, has been named new chief compliance officer of the not-forprofit Anderson Center for Autism, of Staatsburg, which provides programs and service to individuals with autism.
Simpson, who has a law degree from the Western New England College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from SUNY Albany, will oversee the Corporate Compliance Department.
Previously, Simpson was corporate compliance officer at Jawonio in Rockland County.
Simpson and her family intend to relocate to Dutchess County.
