Rosendale Theatre hosts artists’ new work forum
WHAT: Artists’ new work forum
WHEN: Aug. 4 at 4 p.m.
WHERE: Rosendale Theatre, 408 Main St., Rosendale
DETAILS: “People, Places, and Stuff That Happened,” a showcase of stories told in theatrical format, will be presented at the theatre. The production, a work-inprogress directed by Mary Lois Adshead, will be a collection of original stories performed by newcomers and favorite local performers. Doug Motel, Terri Mateer, Sonia Terri, Jerry Wintrob, Mary Ann Forgey, Dana Page and Johanna Winer will all relate stories from their lives and portray characters within the stories. Admission is $5. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

History camp for children from Aug. 7-9
WHAT: History camp WHEN: Aug. 7, 8 and 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily
WHERE: Senate House State Historic Site, 296 Fair St., Kingston
DETAILS: The Senate House State Historic Site will host a history camp for children ages 8 to 12. Activities include tending the vegetable garden, hearthside cooking, making delft tiles, churning butter, playing games and more. The fee is $90 per child and registration is required. The program is limited to 20 participants.
