Saturday, Sept. 8: 5th annual Tyler J. Smith 5K Run & Walk, Margaretville Village Park (behind Freshtown Market), Margaretville, N.Y. Benefit for Tyler J. Smith Memorial Scholarship Fund. Kids 1k run at 9 a.m., 3.8 Miler at 9:30 a.m. Day of registration opens at 8:30 a.m. Fees: Olana Partnership members $15, others $20. Kids 1K free. T-shirts guaranteed to first 75 registered for the 3.8 Miler. Course is run on the beautiful carriage paths of the grounds of the historic home of Federic Church the founder of the Hudson River School of Landscape Artist. Post race refreshments for all and very unique awards for top 3 in 10 year age groups for both men and women.
