Theodor G. Martino, 38, of Kingston

-

Theodor G. Martino of Kingston passed tragically Thursday, July 19, 2018, at home.

Born Feb. 8, 1980, Ted was the middle son to parents Anthony F. and Gerit Bracklow-Martino of Kingston.

He was a graduate of Saugerties High School, class of 1998. Ted flourished in the food industry and worked at various places throughout his life. He held a manager position at Wendy’s, was a host/server at the former Coyote Café in the Hudson Valley Mall, and worked as a bartender at The Flow Lounge for many years. Ted loved spending time in nature, kayaking and hiking, dabbling in painting and other arts, and was a walking encyclopedia on sports (especially baseball), history,

movies and pop culture. He also enjoyed collecting unique crafts, art pieces, and handmade trinkets during his travels. Known for his quick humor and kindness, Ted was loved by many and often helped even a stranger in need. He loved to create and cook flavorful, gourmet meals for his family and often put more care into cooking and serving the meals than he did eating the dishes he himself had prepared. He had a special, nurturing connection to animals, especially the family dogs, Einstein and

Chloe.

Surviving are brothers, Anthony B. Martino of Cohoes and Garrick Martino and his wife Jennifer of Kingston; grandparents, Heinz and Gertrud Bracklow of Kingston; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Carmela “Millie” Martino, also of Kingston. Services will be at the family’s discretion. Donations can be made to the family for funeral expenses at gofundme.com/teddymartino039s-familysupport.
