Jay L. Klitzner, 74, of Kingston, passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at HeathAllia­nce Hospital, Broadway Campus, with his loving wife of 55 years by his side. Born Sept. 10, 1943, in Newark, N.J., he was the son of the late Gladys Klitzner.

Jay lived a life full of happiness, joy and pride. He married his best friend, Carol, on Feb. 12, 1963. He took pride in his work, having been a butcher at Grand Union for 30 years. Upon his retirement, he owned and operated Starlite Motors. He spent the last several years exploring his newly found passion of going to, and holding, yard sales. His latest joy came from his recently adopted 8-month old puppy, Bailey. Jay was a devoted husband, father, and grandfathe­r, and nothing made him happier

than being surrounded by those he loved. The love and dedication that he showed to his family and close friends will be remembered and cherished for a lifetime.

In addition to his beloved wife, Carol, he is survived by his four children, Kasey Klitzner, Kim Schoen, Jeff Klitzner and Kelly Bruce; his three granddaugh­ters, Shannon Klitzner, Samantha Maki, and Danielle Schoen; his great-grandson, Myles Cowan; and his sister, Edith Cohen.

He was predecease­d by his mother, Gladys, and

his sister, Geraldine Heilmann.

Entrusted to the care of Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, 326 Albany Ave., Kingston, where calling hours will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kingston Dialysis Center.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Andradi and his staff, Dr. Sheran and his staff, and the selfless nursing staff on 3 East. We thank you all for your continued care and support throughout his journey.
