Amanda Vescovi, of Marbletown, N.Y., has joined the Natural Resources group in the Poughkeepsie office of The Chazen Companies as an assistant environmental scientist.
She provides wetland delineation, permitting and threatened and endangered species services.
Vescovi received her bachelor’s degree in wildlife management from SUNY Cobleskill in 2015. Previously, she worked at the state Department of Environmental Conservation as a fish and wildlife technician. ••• Conor Maisch, of Kingston, has joined Marshall & Sterling Insurance, of Poughkeepsie, as a sales executive.
Previously, Maisch worked in sales and marketing for Farmers Insurance.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Utica College and worked in car rentals. Dr. Marcel Hinds, of Clermont, recently relocated to the Rhinebeck and Kingston offices of Health Quest Medical Practice OB-GYN and will deliver babies at •••
Northern Dutchess Hospital.
He will also perform gynecological procedures at the hospital and has a special interest in fibroid treatment, endometriosis and pelvic pain.
Since 2017, Hinds has been caring for patients at the medical practice’s Sharon, Conn., location.
Previously, he practiced at Columbia Memorial Health in Hudson, where he was an attending physician with the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for 11 years.
He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany County and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick.
He is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
••• Marline A. Martin, of Poughkeepsie, has been named executive director The Greene County Council on the Arts.
Martin has held leadership positions or been affiliated with Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center, The Children’s Art Carnival, TRANSART & Cultural Services, Urban Dance Collective,
the Caribbean Cultural Center and While We Are Still Here. For the past seven years, she has been executive director of the LeRoy Neiman Art Center in Harlem. She holds a master of fine arts degree from the City College of New York, a graduate certificate in arts management from Columbia University and a graduate diploma in international law and relations from the University of the West Indies.
Among recognition and awards Martin has received include the Harlem Women of Excellence Award, Zeta Phi Beta/Five Pearls Foundation Award and Arts Mid-Hudson Individual Artist Award.
••• Ellie Reese, of Hurley, has joined the Woodstock Land Conservancy as program and outreach coordinator.
A native of New Paltz, Reese is the former communications director for Economists for Peace & Security.
Her primary responsibilities include educational programming and outreach which includes the “First Saturdays on the Trail” program and planning the annual Longyear Farm Day.
She is a committee member for the fourth annual BioBlitz, co-sponsored with the Catskill Center, and the seventh annual Film Series, co-sponsored with Woodstock Transition.
••• Anna Trocino, of Poughkeepsie, has been named executive director of the Hudson Valley Region of the The American Heart Association.
Trocino comes to the organization after nearly a decade with the American Cancer Society, working both regionally and nationally. Previously, Trocino held fund-raising positions locally with United Way and the YMCA.
••• John McHugh, of Shokan, has been named executive director of The Arc of Putnam.
He joined The Arc of Ulster-Greene in early 2008 as chief financial officer and became executive director in 2013. He has 18 years of financial experience in the disability services field and hospital administration.
McHugh’s connection to The Arc began as a teen when his younger brother, Jimmy, was born with Down syndrome.
He a master of business administration degree from SUNY New Paltz as well as a dual-certified master’s degree in education and special education from Mount St. Mary College. He is a board member for National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals.
