Anthony P. Woinoski, 86, of Hurley, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Ten Broeck Commons.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Frank and Matilda Longtoe Woinoski. Anthony was a devout Catholic and a former usher at the Hurley Mission Church.

He was the owner of Tony’s Cards and Collectibl­es in Kingston, where weekly tournament­s of Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, and Magic the Gathering were played. Anthony was an avid fisherman, who also enjoyed working with bluestone and he loved building stone walls. He also loved his cat, Nick.

He is survived by three children, Michael Woinoski and his wife Linda of New Paltz, Edward Woinoski and his wife Karen of Saugerties and Cynthia Rau and her husband Ernie of Nassau, N.Y.; a brother, Albert of Florida; four grandchild­ren, Ernie, Steven, Jake, and Jason; and two great granddaugh­ters, Arvelle and Sylvanna. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Anthony was predecease­d by his wife of 62 years, Anne Woinoski, whom he had married on May 30, 1954; as well as three brothers, Frank, Stanley, and Paul Woinoski.

Anthony will be reposing at Simpson-Gaus Funeral Home, 411 Albany Ave., Kingston, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m.

The funeral procession will form from the funeral home on Thursday at 9 a.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church.

Interment with military honors will follow in Hurley Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Ten Broeck Commons for the wonderful care that they showed Anthony and his family over the years.
