Virginia L. Aspinall, 75, of Elm St., died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2018, at the Kingston City Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born Dec. 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Mabel Oberst Larish.

A Saugerties area resident for many years, she was formerly employed at the Chase Manhattan Bank in Saugerties and later for over 15 years at Schneider’s Jeweler’s in Kingston. In her spare time she was an avid gardener, loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family, grandchild­ren, and friends.

Predecease­d by her husband, Ed; survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Chris) Dodig of Lanesboro, Mass., and Jonelyn L. Aspinall of New Paltz; brother, Carl Larish of Shandaken; sisters, Phyllis Billard of Rochester and Shirley Leslie of White Mills, Pa.; grandchild­ren, Erin and Grace Dodig; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also predecease­d by her siblings, Evelyn, Bonnie, and Larue Larish.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Seamon-Wilsey Funeral Home Inc., corner of John and Lafayette streets. Burial will follow in the Blue Mountain Cemetery. Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Family suggests donations made in her memory to be sent to Mountain Top Arboretum, 4 Maude Adams Road, Tannersvil­le, N.Y. 12485. The family also encourages those in attendance to wear bright colors or floral patterns in honor of Ginger’s love of flowers.
