Patricia (Thurin) Markle, 78, of Taylor, Texas

Patricia (Thurin) Markle, 78, of Taylor, Texas, went to be with her heavenly father on Aug. 17, 2018.

Pat was born in Kingston, N.Y., on March 20, 1940, to Charles and Anna (Plunket) Thurin. She worked in retail sales for many years at Trinkets in Kingston and at Macys in Austin, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William of 54 years; a daughter, Susan; brothers, Carl, Joe, Jack Thurin; and sisters, Agnes Hartman, Nancy Purcell, Betty Tierney, and Mary Juscott.

She is survived by her sons, John (Katie) of Kingston, N.Y., Daniel (Denise) of Taylor, Texas; son-in-law, Ronald Mohair Denton, Texas; sister-in-law, Laurie Thurin of Kingston, N.Y., brother-in-law, Louis Tierney of New Paltz, N.Y.; and of course, her best friend and grandson, Nicklas Ward Markle of Taylor, Texas. Services will be held at Providence Funeral Home in Taylor, Texas.

Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 20, 2018, from 6 to 8 p.m. Rosary will be at 7 p.m.

Funeral service will be at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Taylor, Texas. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Granger, Texas.
