Patricia A. Redmond, 83, of Kingston
Patricia A. Redmond, 83, of Kingston, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie.
Born June 2, 1935, in Kingston, she was the daughter of the late John and Martha (Caffery) McCaffrey.
Pat was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory Nursing School at Benedictine Hospital. She worked as a registered nurse until the birth of her children. A lifetime parishioner of Saint Mary’s Church, Pat was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Bernie Redmond; her daughters, Sister Mary Catherine Redmond, PBVM, of the Bronx, New York, Patty Croce and her husband Peter of Essex Junction, Vermont, Kay Redmond of Shelton, Connecticut, Megan Barnes and her husband Kevyn of Latham, New York; her grandchildren, Rachel, Michael, Sara, Kylee, Declan and Cailin; her dear cousin, Maryann Hart. A sister and brother-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
The Redmonds would like to thank both Dr. Cheryl Colbert and Dr. Alfonso Cutugno and their staffs for the loving care of Patricia and her family.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh. com). The Redmond family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018, from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Saint Mary’s Church. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, as a gesture of sympathy, please offer an act of kindness in Pat’s memory.
