Cairo
• DWI: Gregory S. Young, 53, of Cairo, was arrested on state Route 23 at 9:46 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 24, and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, according to state police at Coxsackie. Young was arrested and issued an appearance ticket, police said.
• DWI: Jason C. Verdon, 36, of Palenville, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie on state Route 32 on Saturday, Aug. 25, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. He was issued a court appearance ticket.
Catskill
• DWI: Artyom Y. Bouriak, 27, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 2:38 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, on state Route 23A and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a felony. He was held by police pending arraignment.
Esopus
• Criminal contempt: Adrian L. Williams, 33, of Newburgh, was arrested by state police at Highland on U.S. Route 9W in Esopus at 9:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and was charged with criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Williams was issued a court appearance ticket.
Kerhonkson
• Welfare fraud: Heather Taylor, 42 of Kerhonkson, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies on Friday, Aug. 24, and was charged with welfare fraud and three counts of offering a false Instrument for filing, felonies, according to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office. An investigation determined that Taylor did not disclose her true household composition and income to the Department of Social Services from February 2016 to May 2018, the District Attorney’s Office said. Taylor filed several applications with the department during that period of time, not disclosing the income, which resulted in her receiving $7,211 in benefits she was not entitled to, the authorities said.
Lloyd
• DWI: Jodi-Ann S. Jahalal, 30, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Highland at 2:27 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, on state Route 299 in Lloyd, and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was issued a court appearance ticket.
Rosendale
• DWI: Laura J. Startup, 45, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by state police at Highland at 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, on Main Street in Rosendale and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor. She was also issued several traffic violations, police said. Startup was issued a court appearance ticket.
• DWI: Robert Suss-Kolyer, 57, of 825Churchland Court, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties Police at 1:49 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, on state Route 212 at Fish Creek Road and was charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, after she was stopped for driving in the middle of the road. Suss-Kolyer is to appear in Saugerties Town Justice Court on Wednesday, Sept. 5, police said.
Ulster Park
• Grand larceny: Scott R. McCain, 48, of Ulster Park, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 6:36 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, and was charged with grand larceny, a felony.
