The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
• DWI: Craig N. Royal, 49, of Kingston, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, on Franklin Street and was charged with drunken driving, driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher, and aggravated unlicensed driving, all felonies; circumventing a court-ordered ignition interlock device and possession of noxious material, both misdemeanors; and with having an open container of alcohol, a violation, and a turn signal violation. Royal was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail pending a court appearance.
• DWI: Lyman B. Townsend, 59, of Cooperstown, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, on state Route 32 in the town and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher, both misdemeanors. Townsend was released with tickets for Catskill Town Court.
• DWI: Jason Kocciusko, 39, of Leeds, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 2:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31, on U.S. Route 9W in the town and was charged with felony drunken driving, a felony; and possession of marijuana, a violation. Kocciusko was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail pending a court appearance.
• Drugs/endangering:
Raymond F. Saunders, 27, address unavailable, was arrested by the Greene County District Attorney’s Office in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office and state police and Catskill Village police on an indictment and was charged with three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance (heroin) and three felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled
substance (narcotic) with intent to sell, and with one misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child. Saunders was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
Hurley
• DWI: Robert M. Stokes, 20, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 6:02 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Hurley Mountain and Dug Hill roads and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher, both misdemeanors, and was ticketed for unsafe tires, failure to keep right and crossing road hazard markings. Stokes was released with appearance tickets for Hurley Town Court.
Plattekill
• Criminal mischief: Jonathan Logiudice, 33, of Wallkill, was arrested by Ulster County sheriff’s deputies at 1:10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, in the hamlet of Wallkill and was charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a violation. Logiudice was released with appearance tickets for Plattekill Town Court.
Tannersville
• Drugs: Raymond F. Saunders, 27, of Haines Falls, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, on Park Lane, and was charged with criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic), both felonies. Saunders was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail pending a court appearance.
• Drugs: Jami S. Saunders, 31, of Tannersville, was arrested by state police at Hunter at 1:10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, on Park Lane, and was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance , a misdemeanor. Saunders was released with appearance tickets for Tannersville Village Court.
