City of Kingston
· DWI: Tammy L. Dougherty, 56, of the town of Ulster, was arrested by state police at Highland at 11:35p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, on Broadway and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08percent or higher and drunken driving, and with the infraction of driving without headlights. Dougherty was released with appearance tickets for Kingston City Court.
Cairo
· Grand larceny: Frank Sciancalepore, 47, of Acra, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:27p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at police barracks in Catskill and charged with the felony of grand larceny, seven misdemeanor counts of petit larceny and the misdemeanors of identity theft to obtain goods and unlawful possession of personal identification. Sciancalepore was released with appearance tickets for Cairo Town Court.
· Obstructing governmental
administration/DWI: Justin T. Wachter, 21, and an 18-yearold female, both of Round Top, were arrested by state police at Coxsackie at about 3;30a.m. on Silver Spur West. Wachter was charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher and drunken driving. The 18-year-old was charged with the misdemeanors of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest and the violation of possession of marijuana. Both were released with appearance tickets for Cairo Town Court.
Durham
· DWI: Joseph M. Scott, 54, of Durham, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 1:45 a.m. Monday, Sept. 3, on state Route 81and charged with the misdemeanor of drunken driving. Scott was released with an appearance ticket for Durham Town Court.
Hunter
· DWI: Amanda I. Berbiglia, 31, of Freehold, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 10:22p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, on Main Street and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08percent or higher and drunken driving, and the infractions of driving without insurance and crossing road hazard markings. Berbiglia was released with appearance tickets for Hunter Town Court.
Livingston
· DWI: Christopher M. Hohla, 45, of Red Hook, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 4:50p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, on state Route 82and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08percent or higher and drunken driving. Hohla was released with appearance tickets for Livingston Town Court.
· Grand larceny: Jeremiah Simpson, 39, of Copake, was arrested by Columbia County Sheriff’s deputies at 7:05p.m. Friday, Aug. 31and charged with the felony of grand larceny. Simpson allegedly stole more than $1,500from a victim in Livingston. He was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $20,000jail.
Saugerties
· Assault: Jeffrey H. Pagan, 24, of 2 Washburn Terrace, in the village, was arrested by Saugerties police at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, and charged with misdemeanor assault. Pagan is accused of assaulting a victim who followed him into the car wash parking lot on U.S. Route 9W and accused him of cutting him off. Pagan allegedly punched and kicked the victim who was treated at the Health-Alliance Hospital Broadway Campus for a fractured nose and abrasions to his back and received stitches to his forehead. Pagan was released after posting $500 bail and an order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
