Penny was born July 5, 1938 in Kingston, N.Y., and was a secretary at the Kingston IBM plant. Penny was loved and respected by folks who knew her.

Penny is survived by her husband, John Strebler of Huntersville, N.C., and her three children, Jennifer Strebler of Charlotte, N.C., Christopher Strebler of Huntersville, N.C., and Joshua Strebler of Huntersville, N.C. Penny was an excellent homemaker, was a terrific wife, and was a great mother. Penny was especially devoted to our daughter Jennifer who is Autistic and is also a Down Syndrome child. Penny loved each and every one of the ladies who lovingly care for Jenny at her Group home in Charlotte. She felt very compassionate towards children in need.

Penny loved gardening, loved her clothes, and loved her flowers.

Per her wishes, there will be no memorial service. Private burial will be held at North-Lake Memorial Gardens on a family plot. In lieu of flowers, please donate to any reputable charity dealing with children.
