Kazuto Ioka returned to boxing with an impressive U.S. debut in a wide unanimous decision over McWilliams Arroyo, and Juan Francisco Estrada grinded out a decision over Felipe Orucuta in the main event of Superfly 3 on Saturday night.

Filipino super flyweights Donnie Nietes and Aston Palicte also fought to a draw in a bout for the vacant WBO title at the Forum.

Ioka’s victory in his comeback bout highlighted the third edition of the fight series created by promoter Tom Loeffler to showcase the world’s top boxers from the oft-neglected super flyweight division and thereabouts.

Ioka (23-1), a three-division champion while fighting in his native Japan, returned from a brief retirement and a 17-month ring absence with a complete performance against Arroyo (17-4), the tested Puerto Rican veteran.

One Mississippi high school senior had to quickly discard her crown after being named homecoming queen and put on a football helmet.

Kaylee Foster was crowned homecoming queen of Ocean Springs High School before Friday night’s football game.

She then put on her football uniform and later kicked the winning extra point to lead her team to a 13-12 victory over George County High School, local news outlets reported.

Foster kicked two field goals earlier, giving her a majority of the team’s points.

Primarily a soccer player, Foster has been kicking with the football varsity since she was a sophomore. She’s been a member of the homecoming court for four years.

She put her crown back on after the game, posing for photos in her football uniform and tiara.

Mets captain David Wright believes he will return to the New York Mets this season.

The 35-year-old third baseman participated in a simulated game before Saturday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies. He faced Anthony Swarzak and Tim Peterson and hit an opposite-field homer to right-center off Peterson for his only hit.

Wright has not played in a major league game since May 27, 2016, because of neck, back and shoulder injuries that required surgery.

Wright hit .171 with two RBIs in 41 at-bats during 12 games of a minor league injury rehabilitation assignment from Aug. 12-29.

He intends to have another simulated game Tuesday and then meet with chief operating officer Jeff Wilpon, a son of owner Fred Wilpon. Jeff Wilpon watched Saturday’s session.
