The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
Athens
· Imprisonment/weapon: Jordan S. Nelson, 22, of Athens, was arrested by state police at Greenville at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, and charged with the misdemeanors of menacing, imprisonment and possession of a weapon with intent to use. Nelson was released with an appearance ticket for Athens Town Court.
Durham
· DWI: Adam Smith, 22, of Freehold, was arrested by state police at Greenville at 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, on state Route 145, and charged with the misdemeanors of driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent or higher and drunken driving. Smith was released with appearance tickets for Durham Town Court.
Lloyd
· Obstruction of breathing: Eric E. Westmoreland, 48, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, on Martin Avenue and charged with the misdemeanors of obstruction of breathing and assault. Westmoreland was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail.
· Drugs: Patryk R. Kopyto, 22, of Brooklyn, was arrested by state police at Highland at 12:35 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, on state Route 299 and charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (hallucinogen), two misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, and the misdemeanor of possession of drug paraphernalia (packaging materials). Kopyto was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 bail.
Plattekill
· DWI: Daniel R. Abbott, 37, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 9:37 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at 1584 U.S. Route 44 and charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving and aggravated drunken driving. Abbott was released with appearance tickets for Plattekill Town Court.
Saugerties
· Drugs: Edmund A. Drumm, 27, of 171 Churchland Road, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.
11, on state Route 212 at the intersection of state Route 32 and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Drumm’s arrest followed a traffic stop on Route 212. He was released with appearance tickets for Saugerties Town Court.
