Frank J. DeFranco, 74, of Lyonsville

Frank J. DeFranco of Lyonsville, N.Y., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018. He was 74.

He was the devoted and beloved husband of 47 years to Jeannette Atkinson DeFranco.

Born in Garfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Frank and Mildred (Pra) DeFranco.

Frank was a devoted and loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to everyone. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Jennifer DeFranco Allen and her husband Larry Allen Jr. of Accord, N.Y. and his son Frank DeFranco and his wife Denise (Viens) DeFranco of Mason, New Hampshire. He was also a doting grandfather to his six grandchildren, Sydney and Ethan Allen, Landon, Emma, Levi and Weston DeFranco. He is also survived by his sister Paula Singer, and several nieces and nephews.

A sister Mildred Rust died previously.

Frank loved sports, especially baseball, where his favorite team was the New York Mets. He also had a passion for the outdoors, which included hunting and fishing. He was self - employed and worked as a paint contractor for 40 years. Above all, Frank will be remembered for loving his family.

His wife and family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Kingston Dialysis Center and the many nurses at Health Alliance of Kingston for their loving care and support.

Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday 4 to 7 p.m. at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Pastor Al Jurkowski will officiate his funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Stone Ridge.
