‘Morton’s Celebration of Fiber Arts’ opens Oct. 5
WHAT: “Morton’s Celebration of Fiber Arts” WHEN: Opening Friday, Oct. 5 from 6- 8 p.m. and running through Oct. 31 WHERE: Morton Memorial Library, 82 Kelly St., Rhinecliff
DETAILS: Join us to see the community’s fiber arts creations. There will be quilts, knitted animals, rugs, handmade garments, knitting, spun wool, fiber collage, and demonstrations taking place during the opening. Admission is free.

Roxbury Arts Center hosts ‘Fiddlers! 25’
WHAT: The Roxbury Arts Group announces “Fiddlers! 25”
WHEN: Sunday, Oct. 7, from 12–7 p.m.
WHERE: The Roxbury Arts Center is located at 5025 Vega Mountain Road, just off Main Street in Roxbury, N.Y.
DETAILS: Performing at “Fiddlers! 25” will be The Mammals with husband and wife Ruthy Ungar and Mike Merenda fronting the band. The much-loved Jay Ungar & Molly Mason, husband and wife (and also the parents of Ruthy Ungar) will bring their unique sound. The Great Bear Trio, brothers Noah and Andrew VanNordstrand with mother Kelly Yerton, will also perform. The day kicks off with a square dance with The Tremperskill Boys, followed by a set traditional music. Advance tickets are $20; and $18 for student and seniors. All tickets on the day of the performance are $25.
