A Division Finals
Deuire’s Trophies swept Hometown Discount Beverage in two to take the Kingston Recreation League men’s softball A Division crown.
In game two Deuire’s put up a six-spot in the second and piled on ten more in the third to beat Hometown Discount Beverage 23-11
Deuire’s had surrendered five runs in the first and another in the second to fall behind 6-4.
Luke Stauble hit two home runs and knocked in four runs, Mike Cheng homered, doubled and drove in four runs and Dylan Galm hit a home run to lead Deuire’s.
Ryan Simon hit two homers and drove in four runs, Randy Delaney homered twice, smacked three singles and had two RBI to carry Hometown.
In the series opener, down 2-0 in the second, Deuire’s put up an 11-spot to go up 11-2 then added nine runs more in the third to key a 20-7 win.
Luke Stauble homered, doubled and drove in three runs, Mike Cheng, Dylan Galm and Ed Sickler each hit a home run and had three RBI to guide Deuire’s.
Nick Tresaloni hit a solo home run, Cory Chambers and Shane McMillan each homered and drove in two runs to carry Hometown.
After dropping the opener 18-8, Hometown beat the Paramount Pirates 17-5 and 22-20 to advance to the championship series.
Deuire’s swept the GSquad 12-11 and 21-11 to reach the championship round.
