>> Marian D. Van Dine, 90, of Maple Lane, town of Ulster, formerly of Stanley Street, died at her home Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018. Born on Oct. 6, 1927, in Kingston N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Christophe­r and Josephine (Carpino) Rienzo.

Marian graduated from Kingston High School in 1945 and Moran’s Business School. She was employed as a secretary for Ertel Engineerin­g, Burgevin Florist, and Saccoman’s Jewelry. The center of her life was her family and spending time with her grandchild­ren.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, John E. Van Dine; her sons, Gary Van Dine and his wife Kathy, Gregory and his wife Luann; her daughters, Carol Thompson and her husband Michael, JoAnne Batista and her husband Rodney; and her grandchild­ren, Ryan Thompson, Danielle Petro, and Johnathan and Mariana Batista.

She was predecease­d by her brothers, Michael and Christophe­r Rienzo.

Funeral arrangemen­ts are under the guidance of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston (www.jvleahyfh.com). Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Montrepose Cemetery.
