New Paltz blanks Marlboro

Anna McDuffies scored three goals, as New Paltz High blanked Marlboro, 4-0, in a Mid-Hudson Athletic League girls soccer match Wednesday.

Paige Wilson scored her first varsity goal to go with an assist, while Fiona O’Hara added a pair of assists for the (7-3 overall, 6-2 MHAL) Hawks, who outshot the (0-10, 0-9) Dukes 16-0. Caroline Giuliani had an assist, while Vivi Kay and Annie Lemek were in goal for Rhinebeck.

Alyssa Macur stopped 12 shots in the loss for Marlboro.

Rhinebeck 2, Dover 2

At Rhinebeck, Sarah Tobias and Esther Murray scored goals for the Hawks in the tie game that was stopped before overtime because of darkness.

Caroline Voorhis had an assist for Rhinebeck.

Ellenville 4, Pine Plains 0

At Pine Plains, Tahnylah Mann scored a pair of goals to help fuel the (4-3-2, 4-2-2) Devils to the shutout.

Sydney Franza and Sophie Santiago scored goals, while Katherine Lopez and Nicole Aguirre added assists for Ellenville, which outshot the Bombers 11-5. Colleen Stevens made five saves to preserve the shutout.

Alexandra Coons stopped seven shots for (0-7 overall) Pine Plains.

Roosevelt 4, Saugerties 0

At Hyde Park, Abby Thomas figured in all the scoring for the Presidents, with two goals and two assists.

Lyndsey Gander and Peyten-Michele Duncan scored goals; Emma Rasco added an assist; while Alana Cathcart made eight saves to preserve the shutout.

Saugerties goalie Anna VanRoy stopped 13 shots in the loss.

Millbrook 1, Spackenkil­ll 1

At Millbrook, first-half goals from the Blazers’ Kathleen Fitzmauric­e and the Spartans’ Kaitlyn Kilpert accounted for the scoring.

Fitzmauric­e’s header off an Arianna Radovic assist six minutes into the match gave Millbrook the lead before Kilpert’s unassisted tally midway through the half tied the score.

Claire Martell of Millbrook and Madison McCall of Spackenkil­l were cited for their play.
