City of Kingston
• Grand larceny: James D. Styles, 34, of Kingston, was arrested by Kingston police at about 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, and was charged with grand larceny, a felony. Styles, a driver for Boice Brothers Dairy, 62 O’Neil St., Kingston, allegedly stole several thousand dollars in cash from the business, police said. Styles was released from the Ulster County Jail on Sept. 17 after posting $500 bail.
Cairo
• Drugs: Craig M. Hall, 25, of Chatham, was arrested by state police on Thursday, Oct. 4, on state Route 385 in the town and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. Hall was stopped for speeding and was allegedly found to be in possession of MDMA and hydrodcodone along with $165,490 in cash. He was released with appearance tickets for Cairo Town Court.
Catskill
• DWI: Roland N. Kelts, 50, of Catskill, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:36 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at Jefferson Heights and was charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent, both misdemeanors. Kelts was released with appearance tickets for Catskill Town Court.
Hurley
• Assault: Sabrina M. Brown, 25, of Hurley, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 10:35 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, and was charged with assault and criminal contempt with physical contact, both felonies. Brown was sent to the Ulster County Jail pending a court appearance. Further information was unavailable.
Lloyd
• Drugs: Michael P. Stein, 24, of Delhi, was arrested by Lloyd police on Friday, Oct. 5, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance (two counts) and tampering with evidence, all felonies. Police said he was in possession of heroin. Stein was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail pending a court appearance.
• DWAI-drugs: Michalis A. Christidis, 27, of New Windsor, was arrested by Lloyd police on Wednesday, Oct. 3, and was charged with the tampering with evidence, a felony, and with driving while ability impaired by drugs, a misdemeanor. Police said Christidis passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, blocking the driveway entrance to the Speedway gas station on state Route 299. He was released with appearance tickets for Lloyd Town Court.
• Drugs: Christopher A. Pashley, 36, of Franklin, was arrested by Lloyd police on Thursday, Oct. 5, and was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. He was released with an appearance ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Milan
• Burglary: Kyle C. Coon, 23, of Milan, and Jon T. Holt, 27, of Germantown, were arrested by Dutchess County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday, Oct. 4, and were charged in connection with a series of residential burglaries in the town that were alleged to have occurred between Sept. 22 and Sept. 27. Coon was already serving time in the Dutchess County Jail at the time of his arrest for a probation violation. Holt was arrested in Germantown. Coon was charged with three counts of misdemeanor possession of stolen property; Holt was charged with two felony counts of burglary and three misdemeanor counts of possession of stolen property. Holt was released to the supervision of probation officers and Coon remained in the Dutchess County Jail without bail.
New Baltimore
• Drugs: Evelyn A. Walker, 24, of Hannacroix, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 5:02 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, on U.S. Route 9W and was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and with possession of marijuana, a violation. Walker was released with appearance tickets for New Baltimore Town Court.
Saugerties
• Contempt: Samuel T. DeGroat, 44, of 594 Old Stage Road, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at the Village Diner, 140 Main St., in the village. DeGroat was charged with contempt, a felony, and harassment, a violation, following an investigation into a fight between him and another person at the diner. DeGroat was released with appearance tickets for Saugerties Village Court.
• Endangering: Calvin E. Mann, 28, of Glasco Turnpike, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police Monday, Oct. 8, and was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child, attempted assault and criminal mischief, all misdemeanors. Mann’s arrest followed a domestic incident during which four children were present; he allegedly grabbed one of the victim’s four children. He was released with appearance tickets for Saugerties Town Court. The court issued orders of protection on behalf of the victim and her four children, authorities said.
Tannersville
• Weapons/drugs: Louis J. Devecchis, 27, of Bridgeport, Conn., was arrested by state police at Hunter on state Route 23A at 12:36 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, and was charged with three counts of possession of a weapon and one count of possession of a controlled substance, all misdemeanors. Also arrested were a 17-yearold girl and a 16-year-old girl. The 17-year-old was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance and the 16-year-old was charged with possession of marijuana, a violation. All three were released with tickets for Tannersville Village Court.
Town of Ulster
• DWI: Brandon J. Arold, 33, of Kingston, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5:09 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, on Frank Sottile Boulevard and was charged with felony drunken driving (drugs or alcohol) and the misdemeanors of drunken driving and driving while ability impaired by drugs. • DWI: Anthony J. Causa, 75, of Kingston, was arrested by town of Ulster police at 8:54 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, after a one-vehicle accident on state Route 32. He was charged with misdemeanor drunken driving and with refusing to submit to a breath test, a violation. He was released with appearance tickets for Ulster Town Court.
