Local business people ‘On the Move’
The Children’s Home of Kingston has announced two hirings and a promotion on the administrative staff:
Jay Mooers, of Saugerties, N.Y., and previously the agency’s director of operations, has been promoted to the new position of director of quality as- surance and staff development.
Mooers has been employed at the Children’s Home of Kingston for 21 years, having previously worked as a school redirection staff, cottage manager, assistant director of residential services and director of residential services. Mooers also has been a therapeutic crisis intervention rrainer since 2000.
He graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in human services.
Christopher Dursley, of Wappingers Falls, has been hired as director of human resources.
Dursley has worked in human resources for 20 years and previously was employed in a similar capacity at Crystal Run Village Inc. in Middletown.
Dursley earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in human resource management from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry.
Rosana Caro, of Maybrook, has been hired as assistant director of the New Horizons program.
Caro previously worked as a case manager for five years at Lincoln Hall in Lincolndale.
She graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a bachelor’s degree.
