The following items are based on information provided by officials in law enforcement and the criminal justice system.
City of Kingston
• Drugs: Carlos Andino Lopez, 30, of Main Street, Ellenville, and Ina J. Jennings, 25, of state Route 52, Greenfield Park, were arrested by members of the Kingston police Special Investigations Unit on Monday, Oct. 29, following a “buy and bust” operation in conjunction with the Ulster police and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office that yielded “a substantial amount” of heroin. Andino-Lopez was charged with the felonies of criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance (two counts). Jennings was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. Andino Lopez was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail. Jennings was released with a ticket for Kingston City Court.
Red Hook
• DWI: Janna L. Mcvey Kelly, 60 of Tivoli, was arrested by Red Hook police at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, on River Road in the town of Red Hook and was charged with two counts of drunken driving, both misdemeanors. She was released with tickets for Red Hook Town Court.
Rhinebeck
• Grand larceny: Jenna A. Masotti, 33, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at the state police barracks, 5696 U.S. Route 9, in the town of Rhinebeck and was charged with grand larceny (credit card), a felony. Masotti was released with a ticket for Rhinebeck Town Court.
Saugerties
• Grand larceny: Robert Delgado, 52, of 12 South Partition St., Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in connection with a Sept. 25 incident at Peak Trading, 1 Tomson Road, in the town of Saugerties, and was charged with grand larceny, a felony. The arrest followed an investigation into a complaint from Peak Trading concerning a possible employee theft issue uncovered during an inventory count, which resulted in the discovery of two dozen missing chain saw sharpeners and carbide cutters valued at $1,500. The stolen merchandise was allegedly posted for sale on eBay. Police said Delgado, an employee of Peak Trading, admitted stealing the merchandise over the course of several months and posting it for sale on eBay. Delgado was released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.
