BOCES to pitch career, tech ed options
Instructors with the Ulster County Board of Cooperative Educational Services will meet with high school sophomores to discuss the option of attending a career and technical education program their junior and senior years. Instructors will visit: • Onteora High School on Nov. 13.
• Saugerties High School on Nov. 27.
• New Paltz High School Dec. 4 from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
• Ellenville High School Dec. 13.
• Rondout Valley High School Jan. 7 and 8.
• Wallkill High School Jan. 15.
• Kingston High School at a date to be announced.
The Pre-University/New Visions program, which offers classwork and the opportunity to earn 12 college credits, also places students in the field alongside professionals for part of the day. New Visions programs are available in robotics/engineering, healthcare, education, and music and audio production.
