Coxsackie

• Coxsackie: Alyssa J. Speenburgh, 20, of Coxsackie, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, on U.S. Route 9W and charged with misdemeano­r possession of a controlled substance, along with the violation of possession of marijuana (two counts). Speenburgh was released with tickets for Coxsackie Town Court.

Esopus

• DWI: William J. Norris, 41, of Port Ewen, was arrested by Sheriff’s deputies at about 9:29 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, after they responded to a reported dispute and was charged with the felonies of drunken driving and aggravated unlicensed driving, the violation of harassment and the traffic infraction­s of refusal to submit to a chemical test and unlicensed driver. Norris was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.

Hunter

• DWI: James V. Moore, 50, of Haines Falls, was arrested by state police at Hunter at 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, on state Route 28 and charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving, and with the infraction­s of no licence, fail to notify change of address, unsafe backing and driving while using a mobile phone. Moore was released with tickets for Hunter Town Court.

Lloyd

• DWAI-drugs: Will S. Sloane, 19, of New Paltz, was arrested by state police at Highland at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, on state Route 299 and charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving under the influence of drugs and driving under the combined influence of drugs and alcohol, along with the violation of possession of marijuana and the infraction­s of no or inadequate stop lamps, failing to use designated lane and following too closely. Sloane was released with tickets for Lloyd Town Court.

Plattekill

• DWI: Alyson M. Parise, 27, of Highland, was arrested by state police at Highland at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, on Plattekill Ardonia Road and charged with the misdemeano­rs of driving with a blood-alcohol content at or exceeding 0.08 percent and drunken driving. Parise was released with tickets for Plattekill Town Court.

Saugerties

• Harassment: Veronica Morvay, 59, of 2150 U.S. Route 9W, Saugerties, was arrested by Saugerties police at 8:06 a.m. Thursday and charged with the misdemeano­r of harassment. Police responded to The Birches of Saugerties, 2150 U.S. Route 9W for a reported disorderly subject. Morvay was allegedly going door to door in the complex ringing doorbells and telling residents there was a fire and they had to evacuate. There was no fire. When confronted by an employee of the complex, Morvay allegedly slapped the employee in the face and insisted the building was on fire. Morvay was released with a ticket for Saugerties Town Court.

Wawarsing

• Drugs: Kimberly A. Tyler, 47, of Woodbourne, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 5:10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, on Canal Street in the village of Ellenville and charged with two misdemeano­r counts of possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drugs without a prescripti­on) and several traffic violations. Tyler was released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court.

• DWI/endangerin­g: Michael R. Sheremetta, 38, of Kerhonkson, was arrested by Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies at about 1:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, following a one car crash on U.S. Route 209 and charged with the felony of drunken driving with children under 16 in the vehicle (a violation of Leandra’s Law), along with the misdemeano­rs of driving while ability impaired by drugs and endangerin­g the welfare of a child, along with multiple traffic infraction­s. Deputies has responded to reports of a southbound 2004 Chevrolet Impala driving driving erraticall­y before veering off the road and striking a utility pole. A 10-year-old child was a passenger in the vehicle. Sheremetta was released with tickets for Ellenville Village Court.
