Geoff Brault, of Poughkeeps­ie, N.Y., has been named director of marketing and communicat­ions, for Walkway Over the Hudson.

He will be responsibl­e for the Walkway’s digital presence, including its website and social media channels, as well as sponsorshi­p, media relations, and event support.

Previously, Brault had managed digital marketing and social media for all 10 hospitals of the WMCHealth Network, including MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeeps­ie, since 2015. He has also was director of communicat­ions for the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

A graduate of Marist College, Brault is co-chair of the Hudson Valley Young Profession­als and sits on Duchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro’s Economic Developmen­t Advisory Council. He is a member of the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse Marketing Committee and Pattern for Progress Young Profession­als Summit Committee, among others.

In 2018, Brault was honored by the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce with the Forty Under 40 Shaker Award.

••• Ellenville Elementary School Principal Nicole Ey, of Glen Spey, has been selected as a National Coach Ambassador for Girls on the Run, a physical activityba­sed positive youth developmen­t program that helps girls in grades 3-8 develop life skills through dynamic lessons and interactiv­e running games.

Trained volunteers serve as role models and deliver programmin­g to girls across the United States. She will join 15 other women in helping to inspire prospectiv­e coaches to join the Girls on the Run movement. Ey became involved in Girls on the Run in 2015.

In addition to her 12-month term of service as a National Coach Ambassador, Ey will work closely with Girls on the Run Hudson Valley to launch a team in Ellenville this spring.
