Geoffrey R. Lamoreaux, of Hurley

HURLEY >> Geoffrey R. Lamoreaux of Hurley, N.Y., and Palmer, Mass., passed on Nov. 12, 2018, after losing a valiant battle with cancer.

Beloved son of the late George R. Lamoreaux, Sr., and Doreen Lamoreaux-Downing, and loved stepson of Anthony J. Downing, he is survived by his brother, George Lamoreaux Jr. and his wife Ingrid; nephew, Justin Lamoreaux and his wife Alisha; nephew, George Lamoreaux III and his wife Lauren; and niece, Kristin Lamoreaux and fiancé Alex Marra. Geoffrey will be greatly missed by his dear friends, Michael

Walker and Ashley Davis and Karen Walker of Wales, Mass., whom we thank from the bottom of our hearts for their love and care for Geoffrey.

Geoffrey will be fondly remembered for his generous spirit, always having a kind word and forgiving nature, and especially for his sense of humor.

His services were private at Geoffrey’s request. The

Rev. Charles Stickley officiated and read Geoffrey’s favorite poem, “Footprints in the Sand” by M. Fishback. Rev. Stickley shared a deeply inspirational poem, “Ships,” by H. VanDyke.

Geoffrey was laid to rest with his loved ones at the Hurley Cemetery on Nov. 17, 2018. Entrusted to the compassionate & professional care of Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home Inc., 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y. 12401.
