Menorah lightings scheduled in Dutchess County

Menorah lightings will take place in Dutchess County on the following dates and locations:

• Sunday, Dec. 2, at 4 p.m., Rhinebeck Jewish

Center, 102 Montgomery St.

• Monday, Dec. 3, at 5:30 p.m., Info Booth, South Broadway, Red Hook.

• Thursday, Dec. 6, at 5:30 p.m., 765 Dutchess Turnpike, Poughkeeps­ie.

• Saturday, Dec. 8, at 6 p.m., front of parking lot at Rhinebeck Bank, 6414 Montgomery St.

• Sunday, Dec. 9, at 4 p.m., Thorne Building, Franklin and Maple streets, Millbrook.

Donuts, hot latkes and more will be available at each event. The events are free and open to all.

Live Nativity at Lake Katrine church on Dec. 8

Grace Community Evangelica­l Free Church, 160 Seremma Court, will have a live Nativity on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Along with a Nativity scene featuring live animals, characters and narration, there will be a Victorian choir with members dressed in period garb. There will also be a children’s choir of angels, a prayer table and refreshmen­ts.

Visitors will park and walk to view the nativity, which will be on the church grounds.
