HIGH FALLS >> Lynn Warnot, 57, a longtime resident of High Falls passed away on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018, at Westcheste­r Medical Center in Valhalla after a long illness. Lynn was born April 27, 1961 in Kingston; a daughter of the late James R. Sr. and Patricia A. Ruffing Warnot and was a lifelong area resident.

She was employed by the US Postal Service and worked as a rural delivery mail carrier from the Stone Ridge Post Office. She was a 1979 graduate of Rondout Valley High School and was well known in the High Falls - Stone Ridge communitie­s. Lynn’s main interest were her family, her motorcycle, and her horse. She loved animals and the outdoors, especially fishing.

In addition to her parents Lynn was predecease­d by a sister, Phyllis Warnot Harvey.

She is survived by her brother, James Warnot, Jr., and his wife Lili; a sister, Elaine Warnot; and her nieces and nephews, Jessica Santiago, Hanna Prowant, Abby Prowant, Joe Warnot, Michelle Walsh, and Stephen Parker. She is also survived by her beloved grandnephe­w, Alejandro Santiago; her lifelong best friend, Richard Cyr; and many other good friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Her funeral service will be held Thursday 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Arlene Dawber will officiate. Interment will follow at Rosendale Plains Cemetery.
