Susan A. Mackey, 85, of Kingston
KINGSTON >> Susan A. Mackey, 85, of Kingston died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at the Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born March 30, 1933, in Kingston; she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Christina (Fiore) Fabbie.
Employed in the local hospitality industry, Susan waitressed at the Skytop, Judy’s and the Eleven Main restaurants. She loved cooking and dancing and was known for her famous chestnut stuffing, baked stuffed clams and carrot cake.
Surviving are her children, Janeth Mackey McGowan and her husband Michael, Danielle Barrie and her husband Hamish; her grandchildren, Alyssa Barrie, and Brendan Barrie. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
The youngest of 11 siblings, Susan was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph, Peter, Thomas, Anthony, and Frank Fabbie; and her sisters, Mary Amendola, Theresa Landi, Frances Polcastro, Margaret Papillo, and Josephine Lostumbo.
Funeral arrangements are under the guidance of the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, Inc. 27 Smith Avenue. www.jvleahyfh. com. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10 to 11:15 a.m. The funeral procession with then form and proceed to Saint Mary’s Church for a 12 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Susan’s name may be made in the form of contributions to a charity of your choice.
