SUNY New Paltz earns Military Friendly honor

-

VIQTORY has rated SUNY New Paltz one of the 100 best schools in the country for veterans and service members in its list of Military Friendly Schools.

It is the college’s fifth year on the list, and the third consecutive year earning the additional gold distinction.

The military-affiliated student population has grown rapidly at SUNY New Paltz in recent years. In the 2017-18 academic year, a record 67 militaryaffiliated students graduated from New Paltz.

The Office of Veteran & Military Services provides a host of resources to military-affiliated students, including early course registration, free parking permits, smooth credit transfer, team-building events and help navigating the application processes for GI Bill and other benefits earned through service.

They also work closely with civilian students, faculty and staff, providing training on unique challenges faced by veterans and service members in their pursuit of higher education.
