Catskill
• Drugs: Kenny K. Chen, 22, of Boston, Massachusetts, was arrested by state police at Catskill at 3:19 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on state Route 23 and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with the violation of unlawful marijuana possession and was issued a speeding ticket. Chen was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Town Court.
• Assault: Aarom M. Fishman, 27, of Catskill, was arrested by the Catskill Police Department at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, and was charged with misdemeanor assault. Fishman was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Village Court.
• DWI: John J. Donahue, 23, of Coxsackie, was arrested by the Catskill Police Department at 1:08 a.m. Saturday, July 6, on Main Street and was charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 of 1 percent. Donahue was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Village Court
• DWI: Michael W. Walsh Jr., 50, of Gloversville, was arrested by the Catskill Police Department at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, July 6, on Maple Avenue and charged with the misdemeanors of drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 of 1 percent. Walsh was released with an appearance ticket for Catskill Village Court.
Coxsackie
• DWI: Jason A. Francese, 45, of Sleepy Hollow, was arrested by state police at Coxsackie at 10:56 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on Brom Bones Road and charged with misdemeanor drunken driving. Francese was released with an appearance ticket for Coxsackie Town Court.
Denning
• Drugs: Stephen H. Herbert, 25, of Smithtown, was arrested by state police at Ulster at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on Peekamoose Road and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Herbert was released with an appearance ticket for Denning Town Court.
Germantown
• Drugs: Kent. J Stadtlander, 29, of Stockport, was arrested by state police at Claverack at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on Dales Bridge Road and was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Stadtlander was released with an appearance ticket for Germantown Town Court.
Hyde Park
• Drugs: An 18-year-old Poughkeepsie man was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 1:53 a.m Monday, July 8, on U.S. Route 9 and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with unlawful marijuana possession. The man was released with an appearance ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
• DWI: Tyler M. Crute, 19, of Hyde Park, was arrested by state police at Rhinebeck at 4:11 a.m. Monday, July 8, on U.S. Route 9 and charged with drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 of 1 percent. Crute was released with an appearance ticket for Hyde Park Town Court.
Lloyd
• Drugs: Melissa M. Cornell, 40, of Carmel, was arrested by the Lloyd Police Department on Saturday, June 29, and was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said she was found to be in possession of cocaine. She was arraigned in Lloyd Town Court and was released with an appearance ticket.
• Drugs: Cheyenne N. Finley, 19, of Salt Point, was arrested by the Lloyd Police Department on Tuesday, July 2, and charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance. Police said she was found to be in possession of crack cocaine. She was arraigned in Lloyd Town Court and was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $750 bail.
• DWI: Shawn Lanigan, 50, was arrested by the Lloyd Police Department on Friday, July 5, and charged with misdemeanor drunken driving after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for traffic violations on New Paltz Road in Highland. Lanigan was released with an appearance ticket for Lloyd Town Court.
Saugerties
• DWI: Glen H. Thorne, 68, of Zena Road, Woodstock, was arrested by the Saugerties Police Department at 8:48 p.m. Sunday, July 7, in the parking lot of the Red Onion at state Route 212 and Glasco Turnpike on misdemeanor charges of drunken driving and driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding .08 of 1 percent following a motorcycle accident. Police said Thorne was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he attempted to exit the parking lot onto state Route 212 and ended up landing in a ditch, causing him to flip the motorcycle. Authorities said they determined that Thorne, who refused medical attention, was driving the motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol. Thorne was processed at police headquarters and was released with an appearance ticket for Saugerties Town Court.
• DWAI: Daniel Stewart, 64, of Newark, Delaware, was arrested by Thruway state police at 9:06 a.m. Sunday, July 7, on the New York state Thruway south at milepost 105 and charged with the misdemeanor of driving while impaired by drugs. He was also charged with the violation of unlawful marijuana possession and was issued a speeding ticket. Further information was unavailable.
