High Falls’ street festival takes place July 13

WHAT: “A Fair Day in High Falls” WHEN: Saturday, July 13, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. WHERE: Actitiviti­es throughout High Falls.

DETAILS: A Fair Day in High Falls returns with a special emphasis on the hamlet’s 350th anniversar­y. The free festival features food and live music with local bands Martin, Tully & Klein, Jim Popisil, The Fabulous Hackers, Ramona Lane and Breakway with Robin Baker. There will also be children’s activities, craft vendors, the Ramapough-Lenape Nation’s blessing of the waters at 1 p.m., a petting zoo, a 50⁄50 raffle, a beer and wine garden, historic tours and a local celebrity dunking booth. Screening of ‘The Secret Garden’ on July 14 in Rhinebeck

WHAT: “The Secret Garden” WHEN: Sunday, July 14, at 12:30 p.m. WHERE: Upstate Films, 6415 Montgomery St., Rhinebeck DETAILS: See the 1993 version of “The Secret Garden” on the last day of the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck’s adaptation of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s book that tells the tale of orphaned girl Mary Lennox. Sent to live with her reclusive Uncle Archibald in England, Mary discovers a desolate, windswept manor on the moors with a hidden garden closed off since the death of Archibald’s wife. Tickets are $10, $8 for seniors 62 and older and students 16 and older, and $6 for members and youngsters 15 and younger.
